Sadly The Jump Urban was yet another big ATBShop hoax for April Fools Day. We thought you’d be ready for it after 2015’s Banksy stunt!
We’ve had so much fun with this April Fool’s Joke as we caught out some well known faces in the industry like Alfie Manns mum who kicked herself when she found out, after asking if we needed any help. We decided to get her involved in the hoax and pretended that Alfie was going to be on the new spin off of the Channel 4 program The Jump Urban. Alfie’s mum said she felt very bad as all of her friends fell for it including her mum who emailed in to ATBShop asking for tickets.
Another good catch for ATBShop was James Threlfall – Element’s team rider who also asked if he could help with the skateboarding celebrities. Let’s be honest we would love to see James teach Jodi Marsh former adult model how to ride a skateboard.
We also caught out several parents including local little pocket rocket Joshua Lingham-Scellier’s mum and dad who again played along and caught out their friends and family.
Diana co owner of ATBShop said parents had even been texting asking for tickets to her personal phone! She said, “We kept the secret so safe that even a few of our team members were caught out!”
Thanks to some carefully written words from Diana co owner of ATBShop and some clever Photoshopping from her media manager Damian, the little white lie went viral!
Thanks to everyone who joined in and played along and sorry to everyone who emailed in to get tickets to what would have been an epic TV show. Channel 4 bosses if your reading this then there is clearly a market for seeing Noel Edmunds and Mr Motavator ride BMXs and Skateboards!
Happy April Fools Day everyone x
