We have two exciting announcements this week! Firstly we have partnered with WKKiteSurfProject a new school operating in South Wales and also we are having a free demo day on Pembrey Beach this weekend!
New Partnership with WKKiteSurfProject.
The new partnership with WK Kite Surf Project is great to have a kite school we can recommend that you will get the quality tuition you need to start on the water. If you mention ATBShop and a special code when you book your lessons then they are also offering a special rate to our customers! Although this is a new school we have worked with Will the owner for many years locally to Swindon on kite and youth projects and are 100% stoked for his new venture. Kitesurf Demo Day at Pembrey Beach Sunday 11th September.
As the home spot for WKKiteSurfProject we thought it would be a good idea to road trip over with all our kites for a demo day! Pembrey is an amazing shallow shelving beach with good clean waist deep shallow flats and solid waves out back in beautiful surroundings. If you want to travel down on the Sat night then there are an abundance of campsites and guest houses in the area. The tide is forecast to be in around 12-1pm which means a short walk to the water as at low tide it drops way back out. Hopefully the wind will grace us with it’s presence to make an epic day on the beach come along and try out some new kites and boards. 🙂
We will have demo kites and boards from Ozone, Liquid Force, Flysurfer, Peter Lynn, RRD, Slingshot and Crazy Fly.
Getting to Pembrey Demo Day
We will be meeting in the main carpark (£5 parking per car per day) in the morning and then out on the beach in front. For satnav use the postcode SA16 0EJ for the tourist office on the beach. Use this map to see where on the beach and carpark we are based from. You should see a couple of our flags out on the beach. We should be setup from about 10.30am onwards all day.
Please note due to local regulations there is no land kiting on Pembrey and dogs are banned from the main beach till end of Sept. More details about the beach can be found on the tourist board website.
