We are super excited to announce that ATBshop have branched out once again and added another All Terrain Boarding discipline into our collection.
We’re now selling Surfboards from BicSurf.
“Bic?” I hear you say. “The same people that make pens?” Well, yes!
Bic Sport have been making surfboards for all abilities in France for over 20 years, changing surf history when they launched a moulded production surfboard. This opened up surfing to tens of thousands of people by producing a surfboard that offered performance and durability with reasonable price tag.
Over the years BIC sport have partnered with some of the best board shapers in the industry enabling them to design a full range of moulded surfboards. One of those shapers is Gerard Dabbadie who has been with the brand since the beginning. He believed in the idea of making surfing accessible to everyone and designed most models in the BIC Surfboard range, including the legendary 7’9 and 7’3 models. Both of which have seen more than 100,000 units produced and shipped from the production facility in Vannes, Brittany.
In 2013 BIC Surf received the European Surf Industry Manufacturers Association Brand of the Year award as well as the Ecoride Gold award in 2013-2016 for environmental commitments throughout the entire design and manufacturing process.
BIC Surf’s success in producing such good boards is one of the main reasons ATBShop have chosen to stock them as a brand in our store. Their constant innovation, sustainability in the production process, reliability, performance and durability have set BIC Surfboards apart from everyone else and why BIC Surf is one of the largest surfboard brands in the world today.

- The Soft top Start Paint collection which provide comfort and safety to beginners and children.
- The Hard top Progress Dura-Tec collection which is the most durable surfboard in the BIC range.
The PAINT Softtop BIC Surfboard Range
Originally launched a couple of years ago this soft top surfboard was a huge success. That success allowed Bic to invest further in the R&D and make further improvements. They’ve updated the shapes of the 7’0 and 8’0 Paint boards, now called the Magnum and the Super Magnum, adding width and thickness while keeping a performance outline and bottom shape. All Paint models 6’0 and longer now have a convenient carry handle. These new boards fulfil a simple mission: make surfing accessible and fun for everyone while maintaining solid performance for enthusiast surfers.
Most of the staff at ATBShop surf and, believe it or not, some of our most memorable days on the waves have been on a soft-top.

Due to the size of our little shop we only have a selection of most popular surfboards physically in-store. We do however have a great relationship with the european warehouse and can have any surfboard from the BIC range in our hands within a few working days.
Because we were so excited about stocking Bic surfboards we have taken a couple straight out of the box and plonked them in our DEMO fleet. Mainly for us to play with but feel free to push one of us off it and have a go when you next come along to one of our demo days or ATBShop days out to the beach.
