On the afternoon of Saturday 15th July ATBShop descended on Bugs Boarding in Gloucester, with both adults and children.
We started padding up and we were off onto the slopes. Everyone picked up Mountainboarding really quickly, and once the power slide stop and linked turns were perfected by all we moved onto some jumps. Bugs boarding caters for all and we saw some of the riders trying out the ever popular Dirt Scooters. These were brilliant on the tracks and the jump features, as well as the quarter pipe and the simple grass slope, not forgetting the truck so we didn’t have to walk back up the hill. As confidence grew, some of us moved onto bigger features. With camera man in tow (Pics to follow), we headed over to the freestyle line.
This saw us leaping over 3ft tables, followed by 6ft and eventually hitting the huge 25ft table top and quarter pipe. Chasing the sun and struggling with flash guns on hip jumps we decided a few more runs and it was BBQ time. A few more runs proved interesting, from jumping over a pond on both board and scooters, to the 6ft north shore drop and a bit of huskey style dog towing we were back for the BBQ. As usual the BBQ loaded up with burgers, pork and corn, didn’t fail to fill every hungry stomach sat around the huge camp fire. A lovely sociable evening was had by all. We would like to give a huge thank you to AJ and the team at Bugs Boarding for facilitating us and even staying open an extra hour for us at ATBShop.
