The Trampa Electric Mountainboard Open Belt Drive OBD is a fully customisable electric mountainboard. The OBD belt drive is has immediate power and torque for real off roading and great top speeds. Due to the belt drive system it is also very quiet when riding. We have tried the e-boards over the years and although a bit of fun never felt capable of what we wanted to do. When we first set foot on the OBD drive board with the VESC6 suddenly it had all clicked into place and 100's of ride spots we always wanted to session but were too flat for gravity flashed though our minds and as long as there is grip then this board would get you there with speed. The belt drive is never lacking in torque and great acceleration and maxes out approx 60Km/h which is often more than fast enough! With the right batteries then it can also give approx 40km range in a single charge. This can give several hours of riding from one charge across any terrain you wish be it paths, gravel or dirt tracks through the woods.
This Electric Mountainboard does not come with batteries or charger. It does come with Wand remote and 6376 motors with half cage protection. The Trampa OBD Open Belt Drive Electric Mountainboard can ride almost any terrain you can imagine and puts a big smile on your face the minute you apply the throttle!
Just to note for legal reasons: Electric transportation vehicles are only legal on private land not on the public roads or paths. The off road nature of this board makes it easier to get out into terrains where it is safe to ride but when you ride this board you are doing so at your own risk of the law and personal injury. The law may change soon to allow the electric scooters and boards to be classed like an e-bike but the power in this board is never going to be legal it's just too much fun!!! The size and type of batteries also need to be cared for properly when charging and storing and making sure they don't get damaged in use.
The colours and design of the board are also customisable within trampa's range of colours and specs and we can guide you though the design and setup of the board so it is your custom ride.
Interested in the e-mtb board but not sure about the investment? Then book in with us for a test drive! Come visit us in Swindon for a 2 hr round trip trying the boards and seeing the different models. It costs £70 for the test ride and if you buy a board in the future then the test drive cost is taken off the price.
The Trampa electric mountainboard is based on a DIY style construction so is great to maintain and adjust or upgrade depending on your requirements. It doesn't take much effort to keep it maintained and all the electrics are easy to use rather than DIY when you need special parts and soldering etc to ge things right. It comes pre-configured on the VESC system and then most things are easy to adjust with loads of maintenance videos from trampa or assistance in our workshop in Swindon. When you off road properly any board then you need to maintain it and things do break if it's downhill or electric so it's great to be able to get a small part to fix rather than having to get the whole drive etc.

The Trampa Boards have a choice of deck thickness based on rider weight. We normally go to the stiffer end of the below chart for more performance especially with the batteries in the middle of the deck but it is a personal preference.
