Apex Boards Mud Plugger Shit Slinger 200x50 Tyre
The original 8in mud plugger tread but in a harder compound rubber and stiffer side wall. The Apex Shit Slinger is a great E-MTB tyre for varied surfaces especially muddy!
Originally this tread pattern was designed many years ago by Ground Industries mountainboards and was a great success for them as a varied condition mountainboard tyre. Unfortunately Ground Ind ceased trading and the tyre mould at the factory became available for other companies to use. Trampa used it with a softer compound before doing their own new mud plugger and Apex has used it for these Shit Slinger tyres.
The difference with these compared to GI and trampa ones is the rubber is a harder and stiffer compound making the tyre and sidewall stiffer and improving the wear when used on roads but not quite as grippy.
Some E-board guys have reported really high mileages on these tyres without excessive wear. But you do need to bed them in a bit as the shiny needs to wear down to give nice grip.
These 8in Shit Slingers are great all purpose e-mountainboard tyre for most conditions and popular with general mountainboarders that like a the grip and slip of these with the side knobbles and the large middle ridge to build speed.
