Ortovox Avalanche Rescue Set 3+

This year Ortovox has decided to pick their best three products and combine it into one package to make sure that you are prepared for the worst whilst skiing or snowboarding on the mountains. The three products that stood out were the AVALANCHE TRANSCEIVER 3+, BADGER AVALANCHE SHOVEL, and the ALU 240 LIGHT avalanche prove.

Take charge with the 3+, the patented SMART-ANTENNA-TECHNOLOGY with its smart intelligent position recognition automatically switches to the best possible transmission antenna enabling you to be found as easy as possible. Ortovox has not taken any compromise when it comes to searching either as the 3+ is equipped with the latest features of a digital 3-antenna device. Real time illuminated display will show you the direction, distance, and number of victims while the circular display in combination with intuitive search acoustics will give you no doubts while you are operating in search mode. When you have located victims you can then remove their location from the display using the flagging function, the motion-sensor-based follow up avalanche switchover ensures additional safety. Lastly is the 3+ can be updated and is environmentally friendly only running on just a single battery.

Badger Aluminium Shovel

The Badger is designed to give you the maximum performance in any type of snow. The scoop disappears into every touring backpack in able to save space while offering optimal  ratio between weight and maximum rigidness. The T-handle and sanded grip enable economic shovelling while the oval shaft makes it very stiff and extremely resistant to breaking.

ALU 240 Avalanche Probe

Weighing in at 270g this is the lightest probe in the Ortovox range, this probe is ready for use within seconds and just as quickly collapsed back into storage. Slippage of the segments can be ruled out at 240cm burial depth can be read on the individual segments. The grip is made from EVA foam and is very pleasant  for practise enabling it to fit ergonomically in the hand while protecting the palms from the cold at the same time. Like all Ortovox probes the ALU 240 is delivered with a practical quick-release cover.
