The Custom is a legendary board in Burton's hall of fame whereas the Custom Flying V is there for those seeking a more forgiving version of the Custom camber. The mighty flag ship ride that has glided through over two decades of giving the people what they want from a board. The Burton Custom FV has been remade with an awesome new graphic, for those who seek the thrill of powerful turns, carves and response of a stiffer, pro category board without limits! From our experience in board tests, the Burton Custom is still flying the flag of all mountain domination and being the swiss army knife of snowboards.
Burton Custom has been modernised to a slightly more freestyle riding board with re-profiled/ re-shaped tip and tail resulting in better presses in the park, better float and less swing weight.
Both stiffer and faster than the Burton Process, the Custom FV gives you plenty of catch free confidence in your carves, booting pistes and rocking back country with the freedom to go anywhere and ride everything with speed. A responsive twin flex profile with 45* carbon highlights strategically placed making the Custom FV a very responsive and snappy ride that offers the precision and stability throughout the mountain. The Customs slightly directional shape and larger nose makes for easier powder cruising while a slightly set back stance will offer you the chance to get your surfy groove on.
This board is not ideal for a beginner straight out of lessons due to the stiffness from the carbon rods and the heavy camber profiling requiring a slightly more aggressive riding style. Although if you seek the more aggressive and powered turns of a camber then check out the Custom Cambered version HERE. However if your a beginner wanting everything the Custom has to offer but less aggression then Burton Process Off Axis or Flying V may be the better choice for you.
